.ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Wendy Northup

Growing up mostly in Rochester, NY, Wendy had few opportunities to sail. When she met her husband they began to sail together, purchased a Sweden 38 and sailed out of Westport CT – racing and taking day sails with their four children. When the children were grown, she accepted a job as Head of the Art Department at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth. She joined WSA immediately, became fleet captain the following year and, eventually, vice commodore, commodore twice and junior staff commodore.

In 2019 she bought a Hunter Legend 355 and renamed it Sadelier using the first two letters of her children’s names. Currently, she lives aboard Sadelier in Marina del Rey. Wendy’s many sailing adventures continued with many Catalina trips, the Baja Ha Ha, charters in the Mediterranean and more planned.

We will start with brief announcements and then our main program will begin. The meeting ends at 8:30pm.

Please ensure you get a parking pass at check in so you do not receive a parking ticket.
